Easter tables are fun - when else are you expected to decorate your tablescape with bunnies, eggs

EASTER SPRING FLORALS

Inspired by the blossom on the trees and the flowering bulbs in the ground, this spring florals inspired tablescape celebrates the season's explosion of nature's joyful colours.

This table setting is all about bold prints and colour clashes. To start, a floral tablecloth is a must - we love this pink, green and mustard coral like motif print from The Mews. It's hand block printed in India which is reflected in the price but we say it's a great investment piece worth splurging on. However,  Cath Kidston have a gorgeous selection of cotton tablecloths, most of which are currently on sale. We especially love this Forget Me Not one and at £14.00 it's a complete steal.  For an Easter Lunch setting we adore these  these Clio & Clover linen scalloped edge placemats with these stunning Spode Pottery William Morris print cake plates (although there is no rule that you can't eat your lamb from them too!). To serve these beautiful pink Bouquet Flower plates from our faves Maison Margaux and this Platter from Anthropology's pretty Lilypad range add a contemporary vintage mood to your table. Fold these double piped Issy Granger linen napkins into these textural handwoven Orchid Napkin Rings from Rebecca Udall and add these retro coupe two tone glasses from Rockett St George to finish the look.

To decorate, add a couple of these Oliver Bonas Kyto glass candlesticks (love them with these blue taper candles in), these super cute pink bunny decorations from Mrs Alice and these Sophie Allport fabric decorative Easter eggs. Finally, every easter tables needs flowers. Ask your local florist for a beautiful mixed bouquet of fresh spring flowers like these from Wild & Bloom, or grab some daffs, tulips, stocks and frescia from the supermarket and divide them across a selection of small vases (stemless drinking glasses work perfectly) spread across the centre of the table for a bold but charming Easter tablescape.

MUTED PASTELS

If bold and bright isn't for you - a pared down look can still look equally effective. We adore these natural, muted tones and simple pastel pops.

This look works best in a a neutral setting but a soft-coloured rustic linen tablecloth will give any surface the perfect starting point to achieve this look, and this  grey linen tablecloth from Habitat is perfect. Napkins are ideal for adding colour detail so stay away from matching. These these blush cotton napkins from John Lewis are lovely, especially the fringed detail. Again, glasses are another way to bring in your colour scheme and these delicate blush tumblers from Daylesford Organics add a subtle hint of blush. Paired with these Laura Ashley pale earthenware plates (on sale at John Lewis),  this stunning etched pitcher and serving platter from Anthropologie's Old Havana range , and these striking Lettuce Bowl side plates from Mrs Alice again just pop in those muted pastels.

The key with decorating a simple tablescape like this is to keep your adornments simple too. We've opted for these cute white bunny shaped stoneware salt & pepper shakers from Dunelm and these sweet Mark's & Spencer pastel Easter egg decorations. To finish go the rustic look forage some twigs from the garden or order these dried birch stems from H&M and you've got yourself a sweet but sophisticated seasonal table setting.

GINGHAM

From the moment Dorothy stepped on to the screen in the Wizard of Oz, I have been obsessed with her and her blue gingham dress.  I also loved going back to school after the Easter holidays because it meant we could wear our checked dresses instead of our boring school uniform. Our motto when working with gingham patterns is the you can never have too much!

For this Spring inspired Easter table we've stuck with a green and yellow palette. This pretty La Redoute tablecloth works perfectly here; we love the small checks and pretty green trim. Instead of a placemat we've opted for this charming scalloped charger plate from Rebecca Udall, with this cool checkerboard side plate from Urban Outfitters. These pastel trimmed napkins and bunny napkin rings from John Lewis are perfect for Easter. We've opted for a simple ribbed green tumbler from Asda and this stunning bamboo handled cutlery.

Gingham and these colours scream spring,  but we've added some Easter decor with this beautiful Anthropologie Cake Stand, this lovely Talking Tables paper bunny decoration. Finally this check print jug from Monsoon makes the perfect Easter table vase which we would fill with pretty daffodils.

KID'S EASTER TABLE

There are so many options for Easter decor in the shops this year and you don't have to spend a fortune to make it cute for the kids.

This White Stuff felt Easter egg garland is charming and would look great draped along this cute Dunelm pink frill tablecloth is the perfect backdrop for a fun filled Easter table setting which we've paired with these ric-rac trimmed napkins from Meri Meri. John Lewis also have a lovely selection of Easter items and this Jump for Joy plate is adorable, as are these Party Delights paper bunny cups.

Meri Meri is always our first stop for magical children's decorations and whimsical party supplies. We heart these cute bunny crackers, these honeycomb spring bunnies, and this adorable embellished bunny headband for a fun family friendly Easter tablescape. This cute bunny basket is ideal for the Easter egg hunt, and for some after lunch activities, this Baked by Steph Easter Cookie Decorating Kit will keep the little (and big) ones entertained.

We know better than anyone that kids love a platter. This Nicola Spring bunny platter is perfect to fill with some some fruit and vegetable crudités to try and sneak in some healthier Easter treats, whilst this bargain Bunny Cake Stand from B&M is ideal for those Easter sweet treats!
