COME & SET UP FOR THE VIP'S AT THE LONDON LANDMARK HALF MARATHON WITH US

We had a great morning on Sunday 2nd April setting up the VIP area for the London Landmarks Half Marathon. The brainchild of the wonderful charity Tommy's,  the LLHM is the only marathon that runs through the City of London. Started in 2018, not only does the route take in the glorious iconic landmarks of the city's skyline, but also passes through some of London's quirky historic hidden gems. It's not only a fabulous way to raise a huge amount of money for many different charities, it's also a fun day celebrating London's culture and communities.

For the second year running, the Happy Platter was asked thrilled to be asked by the organisers to cater a selection of pre-race carb and protein heavy easy to grab snacks to fuel the VIP runners. Hosted by at the exclusive health and wellness club Coach London at their stunning space in Mayfair, it was a celeb packed affair with the likes of Dermot O'Leary, running for our friends Coppafeel, Mark Wright and brothers AJ and Curtis Pritchard all lining up to cross the finish line.

On the menu was Banana & Dark Chocolate and Blueberry & Chia Muffins, oat based energy packed Nut Butter & Goji Protein Bars, Egg & Salmon or Egg & Spinach Protein Pots, a selection of fresh pressed energising juices and invigorating smoothies, plus the biggest tower of carb boosting organic bananas. We opted for a simple wooden style tablescape set-up as our area was quite a narrow countertop, but complimented the delicious treats with a selection of rustic foliage in class vases and simple cream flowers amongst the food.

Thankfully the gloomy weather held off for the race and over 17,000 wonderful runners raised over a staggering  £9.5 million (and counting), taking their total amount raised since the LLHM launch to a staggering £40 million for so many worthy charities. And, Dermot was so chuffed he wore his medal to present ITV's This Morning with Alison Hammond the next morning!
